Join San Francisco's Most Complete Goalkeeper Program
Our program is one of the leading producers of youth goalkeepers in Northern California. We're proud that several of our keepers have earned selection to the Olympic Development Program with CYSA and the Player Development Program with NorCal Premier—recognition that motivates us to keep raising the bar.
We continually refine our curriculum, drawing on methods used by some of the world's top academies and our international academy partners. Every one of our licensed coaches played the position from a young age and brings hard-won insight from their own college and professional careers. Our structured approach builds well-rounded skills while keeping training fun and age-appropriate, so every player learns as effectively as possible.

CURRICULUM
Each soccer season—Fall and Spring—SF Glens Goalkeeper Academy runs four levels of classes: Initial (7v7), Foundation (9v9), Development, and Performance (11v11). We place each goalkeeper in a level based on a mix of factors, including age, experience, technical ability, and athleticism.
Player development always comes first. Our goal is to maximize learning by matching training to each goalkeeper's ability—challenging them without overwhelming them. We want our keepers to feel free to make mistakes and learn from them, to work hard in a fun and age-appropriate environment, and ultimately to build the confidence it takes to thrive in one of the most demanding and rewarding positions on the pitch.
We study the game constantly and use both quantitative and qualitative analysis to shape our program content and individual sessions. A few statistics behind our training structure: 76% of a goalkeeper's ball touches during a game come with their feet. Of the remaining 24% made while saving shots, 40% combine hands and mobility, 26% come off crosses, 20% are diving saves, and 13% are 1v1 challenges.
Our sessions and methodology follow our purpose-built Goalkeeper Curriculum. Each goalkeeper gets one dedicated keeper practice per week, held separately from their team, plus roughly two practices with their own team. This combination is essential for developing both the technical and tactical sides of the position. The modern goalkeeper has to be a complete, 360-degree player, operating in sync with the rest of the team.
Player-to-coach ratios are 8:1 or 10:1 for younger ages and 4:1 or 6:1 for older ages.
Not an SF Glens player? You're welcome to visit a practice and check out the program anytime. If you're interested, email Sebastiano Tevarotto at sebastiano@sfglenssc.org. Cross-club players, please note that League rules apply.
CAMPS & CLINICS
Throughout and beyond our soccer seasons, we run Specialist Goalkeeper Clinics and Camps whenever we see the need and demand. These sessions target the development of specific technical skills and often feature goalkeeper coaches from out-of-state and international academies.
For full details on our goalkeeper camps and clinics—including summer offerings, dates, and eligibility—please visit our Camps page.
If you're already registered as an SF Glens goalkeeper or have joined our GK distribution list, you'll automatically receive information whenever these clinics and camps are offered. If you've never joined one of our programs, or you're not an SF Glens player and would like to be notified, email GK Academy Program Director Sebastiano Tevarotto at sebastiano@sfglenssc.org.
